About Us

Welcome to the MIT chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. We are an undergraduate and graduate club comprised of students majoring in Mechanical Engineering at MIT.

We meet once a week to talk about how we can improve the Mechanical Engineering community at MIT.  Our goal is to foster a sense of community within the MechE Department and provide Course 2, 2A and 2-OE students with the opportunity to make a difference in our department. We host events for students of any major with a focus on course 2 students including Course 2 Socials, Study breaks, T-shirt Sales, Student-Faculty Luncheons, Corporate Events, and Tutorials. We also serve as a resource for the students to act as a link between students and faculty. We welcome anyone who is interested in ASME to attend our meetings.

MIT ASME Constitution

There are many benefits to being part of the ASME community. Because ASME is an international organization so we have a strong network of mechanical engineers both in MIT and around the world. You will also have access to exclusive scholarships and competitions.
